Hey there! Lots of interesting (and in some case tragic) things happened over the weekend, and it's up to you to know what they were! So I'm going to ask you tons of questions today, and between now and Wednesday you need to be watching the news.
There will be a quiz over events going on in the world over everything from sports to politics to movies to music to accidents to deaths to well, you name it.
So here are the questions I want you to answer. You will only show me that you have answered the questions, I will not give you points until you answer questions.

1. How much rain did we receive this past weekend?
2. The rain in our area was caused by the remnants of what tropical storm?
3. What tropical storm struck North Carolina this weekend, causing minor damage?
4. What are hurricanes called in the Pacific Ocean?
POLITICS:
1. Fred Thompson announced that he is running for President in 2008. Why aren't some evangelical leaders going to support him?
2. What stunning decision did shamed Senator Larry Craig make this weekend?
3. Democratic Presidential Candidates did something this weekend they'd never done before. what was it?
4. Who is in charge of the US Military forces in Iraq?
5. What is he supposed to do today, and what is he supposed to talk about?
RANDOM:
1. A century old shipwreck was discovered in Lake Superior. What was the name of the found vessel and when did it sink?
2. Who released a video that asked people to convert to Islam?
3. Who is Camille Cleverly? What happened to her?
4. Five men are being held in connection to the slaughter of what kind of animal with a machine gun?
5. Tennessee teachers are upset up a racy burger advertisement by which major food chain?
DO NOT FORGET, when you are done with these questions you need to be contacting people from your states! I WILL NOT accept failure in this case. You will receive no points for your presentation if you can't get anyone to respond to you. So if the website that you're trying to contact will not respond, contact someone else.
