Power Point Assignment

First you need to have selected an internation entertainer- sports, music, theater, movies, politics, whatever. Doesn't matter. They have to have been born in another country.

Second, know the rules. Each presentation has to be 5 minutes long. Each presentation must include a sound clip, interview, video clip, or some multimedia aspect. When presenting this, you will not be able to use notes of any kind.

The project will be graded in two categories, worth 50 points total.

1- Quality of talk- (how well did you know your subject. Did you read the powerpoint or talk about it. Did the audience know more AFTER your presentation than they did before?)
2- Aesthetics- Was it a well designed powerpoint? Too wordy? No enough information?

Here is an excellent guide full of advice in creating a good Powerpoint:

Hints

We will go over this in class.

Finally, as you present, your presentation will also be scored by the rest of the class using a guideline that I will hand out at the day of the presentation.

So don't screw around and not do this. Especially the few of you who never do ANYTHING.
